truthtalklive: "This is a decision that Stu struggled with, but had to. The ministry is growing so fast. He had to shift some priorities."

I am sure Stu is sensitive to all the pressing issues facing our faith and they cannot all be covered. But it seems to me, not sure because I am busy most Saturday afternoons and cannot listen to the program regularly, that many of the shows are old re-runs. Furthermore, you have one commercial that repeats 2 and 3 times in a row that has become obnoxious due to its repetition. I think it is being used to fill time in between program breaks. I've been in the Charlotte, NC area the past few weeks and have had to turn the station off because I got so sick of hearing the same commercial over and over again. Such programing gives the appearance of budget cuts due to lack of income.

The fact that some of your Saturday programs appear to be re-runs of old daily shows seems to indicate that there may be more financial reasons for the changes than the actual growth of the ministry.

If the ministry is growing why not adopt themes to get people hooked in. Get some guest experts to debate issues like, are current events the sign of the Rapture, or better yet is the focus on the Rapture healthy for the church. I do not think it is, but it would be interesting to get people on that are pre-post-a- etc. to express their opinions.

Another series could be on abortion, an in depth look at the subject. It can be argued from both an ethical point of view (murdering innocent babies vs. getting rid of unwanted tissue) and from an economic point of view.

There are so many events taking place in the world today that are critical to our survival that one would have a hard time knowing where to begin. What should be the Christian world view regarding Lybia, nuclear power, fossil fuels, etc.

I do like the Janet Mefferd Show, which does cover some of the above issues. Maybe Stu could focus more on thing that concern NC. I don't know. All I know is that I like to listen to the old reliables like David Jeremiah, The Bible Answer Man, Greg Lorrie, John MacArthur, etc. but have found nothing really new in the programming that gets me all that excited.

Finally the old Daily program allowed for call in but so far the Saturday shows I've listened to have been pre-recorded so it was not possible to call in. This is the main reason why this website is dying if not already dead.

Maz: "But we aren’t getting any debate going with Saturday only. Very disappointing."

Hi Maz. I see you are still around. The sad part about the Saturday broadcasts is that it seems like many if not most of them are re-runs of the daily programs. This last Saturday I listened to the broadcast that Doug Tjaden and I did back in January 2009.

It was a very timely broadcast as everything Doug and I said regarding the scam our monetary system is and how it robs people, especially the poor, of their hard earned accumulated wealth. I looks like events are unfolding just as Doug and I predicted and the next few years are going to be brutal. Already, families are breaking up due to the stress of the ongoing DEPRESSION. Yes ladies and gentlemen, this is a DEPRESSION, not a recession. The soup lines are in the form of Food Stamps of which 43% of Americans are now dependent. Add to that the fact that 35% of all household incomes are now dependent on government transfer payments and this is a DEPRESSION. Now with rising food and energy prices putting even more pressure on households, the strain is becoming too much for some families.

I am involved in animal rescue, and the Humane Society of our community is seeing more and more abandoned animals. I predicted well before the January 2009 broadcast, on other TTL programs, that the US was headed for a hyperinflationary depression. I have for years prayed that I would be proven wrong, but apparently God will not go along with my request. He knows that our monetary system is EVIL and therefore, He cannot allow it to continue.

I have been and continue to acquire gold and silver along with my investments in precious metal mining companies and other natural resource investments. If the worst happens, and right now I give it a 33% chance that it will take place (odds are rising), I will be in a position to protect my love ones from the coming collapse of the currency. I hold NO US dollar assets. All my investments are in the commodity complex (food, energy, precious metals - bullion is an insurance policy-, water, etc.) and my stocks are mostly Canadian companies. Dividends are paid in Canadian dollars.

I, along with a few church members that have agreed with my position, hope to help our church as the financial crisis unfolds. I still hold to the 2012 - 2015 time frame as the target time period of the bottom of this crisis. By 2015 the US dollar as we know it will no longer exist. The new currency, whatever it is called, will once again be attached to gold; a gold certificate ratio of some sorts.

Nice to hear from you truthtalklive. It's a shame this site has almost dwindled away apart from a couple of faithfuls! I did enjoy the lively (if not reasonable sometimes) debates on here. Are we never going to get it back?

Ed: It is a shame that you have such a desire to have to come on here and spout your atheistic mindset at us. It's even more of a shame.....or perhaps not......that I did not waste my time reading it. I really have better things to do.

truthtalklive: "This is a decision that Stu struggled with, but had to.

The new currency, whatever it is called, will once again be attached to gold; a gold certificate ratio of some sorts.

truthtalklive: "This is a decision that Stu struggled with, but had to.

Such programing gives the appearance of budget cuts due to lack of income.

I don’t know. All I know is that I like to listen to the old reliables like David Jeremiah, The Bible Answer Man, Greg Lorrie, John MacArthur, etc. but have found nothing really new in the programming that gets me all that excited.

Finally the old Daily program allowed for call in but so far the Saturday shows I’ve listened to have been pre-recorded so it was not possible to call in.

The new currency, whatever it is called, will once again be attached to gold; a gold certificate ratio of some sorts.

truthtalklive: "This is a decision that Stu struggled with, but had to.

This is the main reason why this website is dying if not already dead.

truthtalklive: "This is a decision that Stu struggled with, but had to.

Maz: “But we aren’t getting any debate going with Saturday only. Very disappointing.”

Sorry, Maz. This is a decision that Stu struggled with, but had to. The ministry is growing so fast. He had to shift some priorities.

Ed: What is sad, is that your attitude shows a total disrespect for someone else’s beliefs, and you follow it with heartless sarcasm.

Response: “The atheist, agnostic, or secularist… should not be cowed by exaggerated sensitivity to [people’s religious beliefs… Those who advocate a piece of folly like the theory of an ‘intelligent creator’ should be held accountable for their folly; they have no right to be offended for being called fools until they establish that they are not in fact fools.” – S.T. Joshi

Where is it written that a person must respect other people’s beliefs? I respect knowledge not beliefs and the knowledge I have been able to acquire tells me religious beliefs are all bunk. For instance here is some useful knowledge I can share with you: When you place the subject of your sentence directly next to the verb, it is incorrect to use a comma to separate them. If you want people to believe your claim that you have a high IQ you really ought to learn to express yourself better.

And what is so tragic is that you don’t know what you are doing by saying these things, any more than they knew what they were doing when they crucified the Son of God 2,000 years ago.

Response: “John tells us that the driving of the money-changers from the Temple occurred at the beginning of Christ's ministry; and nothing is said of any serious consequences following it. But Matthew, Mark and Luke declare that the purification of the Temple took place at the close of his career, and that this act brought upon him the wrath of the priests, who sought to destroy him. Because of these facts, the Encyclopedia Biblica assures us that the order of events in the life of Christ, as given by the Evangelists, is contradictory and untrustworthy; that the chronological framework of the Gospels is worthless; and that the facts "show only too clearly with what lack of concern for historical precision the Evangelists write." In other words, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John wrote, not what they knew, but what they imagined.
“Christ is said to have been many times in Jerusalem. It is said that he preached daily in the Temple. He was followed by his twelve disciples, and by multitudes of enthusiastic men and women. On the one hand, the people shouted hosannas in his honor, and on the other, priests engaged him in discussion and sought to take his life. All this shows that he must have been well known to the authorities. Indeed, he must have been one of the best known men in Jerusalem. Why, then, was it necessary for the priests to bribe one of his disciples to betray him? Only an obscure man, whose identity was uncertain, or a man who was in hiding, would need to be betrayed. A man who appeared daily in the streets, who preached daily in the Temple, a man who was continually before the public eye, could have been arrested at any moment. The priests would not have bribed a man to betray a teacher whom everybody knew. If the accounts of Christ's betrayal are true, all the declarations about his public appearances in Jerusalem must be false.
Nothing could be more improbable than the story of Christ's crucifixion. The civilization of Rome was the highest in the world. The Romans were the greatest lawyers the world had ever known. Their courts were models of order and fairness. A man was not condemned without a trial; he was not handed to the executioner before being found guilty. And yet we are asked to believe that an innocent man was brought before a Roman court, where Pontius Pilate was Judge; that no charge of wrongdoing having been brought against him, the Judge declared that he found him innocent; that the mob shouted, "Crucify him; crucify him!" and that to please the rabble, Pilate commanded that the man who had done no wrong and whom he had found innocent, should be scourged, and then delivered him to the executioners to be crucified! Is it thinkable that the master of a Roman court in the days of Tiberius Caesar, having found a man innocent and declared him so, and having made efforts to save his life, tortured him of his own accord, and then handed him over to a howling mob to be nailed to a cross? A Roman court finding a man innocent and then crucifying him? Is that a picture of civilized Rome? Is that the Rome to which the world owes its laws? In reading the story of the Crucifixion, are we reading history or religious fiction? Surely not history.” – M. J. Mauvin
