superman_carries_child__4_ Does it matter that your neighbor is being hunted down like an animal in a the jungle?

Does it matter that it’s half a world away?

Does your Christian obligation end at the border of any particular country?

tom-and-crowdToday Stu welcomes Tom Van Dyke, Executive Director of Heroes Serving Humanity, a non-profit humanitarian relief organization aiding victims of crimes against humanity in Burma (Myanmar).

The country’s military dictators have been responsible for the destruction of 3,500 villages since 1995. Up to a million people have been displaced and countless thousands have been imprisoned, tortured and killed. Heroes Serving Humanity has 300- plus volunteers and relief workers in the field and seven have given their lives in service to their “neighbors”.

    Who Is Your Neighbor?

    Scripture says “love your neighbor”
Yes our neighbors are the ones being aided by “Heroes Serving Humanity”
Is the Burma dictators causing the destruction, also ‘our neighbors’? Whom Christ says “love your neighbor”.
