I've missed you, kash. I'm sorry that you feel the need to move on to other things -- but, that, I suppose, is more our loss than yours.

Kash!
So good to hear from you again[smile].
I wondered where you were, and I hope that you at least come back to read this.
Yes, I'm still "hanging around". In fact, as attendance seems to have slacked off for some reason one might get the impression that I actually post here more than anyone else these days, which I feel is a shame, as I miss all of the interaction that we had among the "Truth Talk Live Family" roughly a year ago, even if it was just to argue amongst ourselves[smile]. Thank you for the book recommendation. I shall look for it. As my family line goes back seven to nine generations in Florida[so I'm told, anyway. I only know of seven for sure.]I am descended from "Florida Crackers" and live a somewhat modernized version of the stereotypical lifestyle[I'm guessing]as best as I can, abet, without the whip and cattle[smile]. I'm always interested in reading what people have to say about country folk and the world that they once lived in. The FOXFIRE books are great for this reason, as anyone who has read them will probably attest.
I'm sorry to hear that you're going to shy away from the website, but I understand how important it is for one to try and maintain a healthy relationship with ones Deity. Although others reading your post may be confused, or thinking that you're making a mistake, no one but you and your God truly knows what you need to do in order to keep your faith and spirituality strong. I hope that it works out for you, and I shall miss you. Good luck, wisdom, and strength be with you in your life and spiritual journey, Kash!

Talk is cheap. Hi John, just thought I'd drop by and see if you were still hanging around this site. Have you read "Ecology of a Cracker Childhood" by Janisse Ray? I highly recommend it. I am busy with work, kids, training for a marathon, moving, and switching denominations. I have quit listening to conservative Christian radio and spending much time on blogs like TTL because it was corroding my relationship with Jesus. You, of course, don't have that problem. Hope all is well with you and your loved ones...

It's good to hear from you again, Z[smile].Glad
to know that a new poster is still sticking around.
I would like to hear from any posters who have felt that they've ever been in any danger because of their theological beliefs[or lack of], or even if enyone has ever had to defend their theological beliefs[or lack of] from the attentions of hostile people[I realize that this sounds much like two versions of the same thing, but there's a slight difference.].
