It sounds so old fashioned because the Christian, like the frog, is getting used to "the temperature of the water!" Unfortunately, we are always just a couple of steps away from "the world," and we are paying dearly for that. Just think of how TV has changed in the past 25 years! Sad to say, most Christians get their opinions on what to think and how to act from TV and movies (ie Hollywood) rather than from the Bible! I got saved in my early 20s, but, just like others, I went far too far with the young men I dated...All the examples we need are in the Bible. We are just too prideful and stubborn (and we don't trust God, nor do we want to obey Him) to do what He says. May God help young people today to WAIT for the person that God has for them.
