Is Dating A Sin?
Posted by truthtalklive on 15 January, 2010

Should teens ever date…period? The thoughts of our guest today may surprise you.
Rob Smith, Founder of the Agathos Foundation, says absolutely not and he’s not alone. Remember Joshua Harris who wrote the book “I Kissed Dating Goodbye”.
So what is this… a new movement?
What do you think? Is dating ever a good idea? What did you learn from your dating experiences? Does our modern American culture have it all wrong?
Today’s program is pre-recorded, but feel free to leave your comments here.

I completely agree! It sounds so old fashioned because the Christian, like the frog, is getting used to “the temperature of the water!” Unfortunately, we are always just a couple of steps away from “the world,” and we are paying dearly for that. Just think of how TV has changed in the past 25 years! Sad to say, most Christians get their opinions on what to think and how to act from TV and movies (ie Hollywood) rather than from the Bible!
I got saved in my early 20s, but, just like others, I went far too far with the young men I dated…All the examples we need are in the Bible. We are just too prideful and stubborn (and we don’t trust God, nor do we want to obey Him) to do what He says. May God help young people today to WAIT for the person that God has for them. It pays to obey GOD – HE KNOWS BEST!!! ps> With God’s help, I’ve been married for 25 years and I give HIM all the glory.
I’ve been happily married for 5 years now which has been an incredible blessing for me. I dated only a little in my teens and it was all very innocent, but times have changed so much since then, I think teen dating today is a very risky thing
