holy-hip-hopIs there such a thing as “Holy hip hop”? Would you rather have your children listen to 50 cent, T-Pain, and Lil Wayne or family friendly rap such as Toby Mac, KJ-52, or the guy on our show today known as  J.O.T.?

jot

J.O.T. is the founder of Soul-Full Productions. J.O.T. is a Winston-Salem, N.C. native and is now bringing God’s word to the youth through Christian rap. Let’s face it. It’s  hard to get young people to listen to Southern Gospel music so why not bring them music they can relate to with the exellent message of Jesus Christ? Today we will be giving two copies of his CD away! If you have questions feel free to call-in at 1-866-34-TRUTH (87884)! As always thanks for listening and we look foward to reading your comments!

I listened to your broadcast on Christian Rap and was suprised at how many callers just sounded absurd and verging on racist. I am a white femaile who loves music and mostly “Christian Contemporary”. I also love well composed music of all genres. I enjoy thoughtful and edifying pieces that bring life to the soul that aren’t found on any “Christian” stations. The man who said that the drum beat was “of the flesh” was sooooo faaarrrr off the truth. Tell me then, what sound does your heart make? Thump, thump…..right? Were we made in the image of God? So, does God have a heart beat? Think about that one for a while. Its not the tool that has sin, it is man. Redeem the man, and then the tool can be molded and used to edify God. The beat reminds me that I am indeed alive and have energy to do his will. The beat also reminds me that I am a warrior of God and I am in a battle daily to do His will.

    Agreed…

Read Psalm 150 and get over your high and mighty self Mr. “of the flesh.” I play in the orchestra at our church and we play Chris Tomlin AND Kirk Franklin….and we WORSHIP!!!
