I'm not trying to be funny here and believe me, my heart goes out to these people; but if the nation is impoverished who will be their to help? According to John Williams of Shadow Government Statistics, real unemployment is at 22%, which is Great Depression levels. Inflation is now running at 6% not the negative .5% the government is telling us. GDP is not growing at 2.8% but is contracting. The government's formulas in calculating the health of the economy are designed to fool us into believing that things are better than what they really are. The implimentation of the Boskin Commission report during the Clinton administration was designed to do one thing, bring down the rate of inflation so as to lower the COLAs in Social Security. Do you realize that in Detroit, the city that was once America's future, they are stacking up corpses like cord wood because there is not enough money to bury the dead. The latest report from FDIC now says that as many as 1000 banks are underfunded and in trouble. Do people realize that Exxon Mobile is selling all of its service stations and opening up service stations in China. Do people understand the implications of this. Disney is building a new theme park. Where? Not in the US or North America but.....you guessed it....Bejing. In the mean time government debt continues to grow exponentially, while the US dollar is now being seen as a banana republic currency. A falling currency will guarantee that we have the Appalachia experience. My obligations now are to my family, especially my wife, kids, and my elderly mother, my church, and then to others as God calls me to serve.
