Surveys indicate that most Americans are opposed to abortion, but it goes on…even among Christians.  What can you do about it?

Andy Merritt asked himself that question in 1981 and his answer was to lead his church to establish the nation’s first church sponsored crisis pregnancy center.

In the intervening years,  more than 50-thousand young women have benefited from the ministry.

And Edgewood Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia also established the New Beginnings Adoption Agency( Now Lifeline Children’s Services of Georgia)  in 1984.

Another way you can tell that Andy is pro-life. he and his wife Kathy are the joyful parents of 10 children: Jonathan, Christy, James, Carrie, Joel, Catherine, Carol, Carla, Caytlin and Charissa.

Andy Merritt will be the keynote speaker at the upcoming Salem Pregnancy Care Center Banquet. Details HERE.

The fall 2009 campaign of 40 Days for Life runs Sept 23 – Nov 1. Taking place in over 200 cities, this is something anyone can do close to home to take action about the issue of abortion.
