Should Christians March on the State Capitol?
Posted by truthtalklive on 26 February, 2009
How involved should Christians be in the political procress? Is it okay for believers to march for marriage? Stu welcomes Christian activist and national radio talk show host Steve Noble www.called2action.org. They’ll talk about a huge march & rally www.nc4marriage.org, scheduled next week in Raleigh, N.C. to support a constitutional amendment protecting marriage.

Sure!
They have just as much of a right to make a big roaring spectacle of themselves as anybody else does.
But do you actually think such an action will change anything at the state capital, besides causing traffic jambs?
Didn’t the Capitol in question come into being after agitation by masons escalated into a rebellion against the king? But the word of God instructs: “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.”
There is nothing against any of our country’s ordinances that says you cant march at the capitol. You can peacefully march.
Are there not bigger problems within this/threatening this country more worthy of marching to this nations capital for?
If this country had a human-shaped body, then the various evils threatening this country from within would be akin to the “body” of this nation having a whole arm infected with gangrene, with the various evils threatening this country from the outside akin to rats eating away at one whole leg, and this problem here that you are debating over akin to ignoring the former problems to try and cut off one finger on the one healthy arm because it has a nasty cut.
