Today on Truth Talk Live we go from college all the way to retirement.  Don’t worry Stu is not retiring nor is he going back to college.  But we have a visit from a couple of radical men who have some radical ideas about God’s leading in their lives.

You may recognize Chuck Peters from a show we did previously on “Retirement or Full-Time Ministry”, but our newest friend and guest on Truth Talk Live is Joshua Ladd.

Joshua is going to college but not to your normal university or college like the typical high school graduate.  He is headed all the way Guam.  Find out more about this in the broadcast.

Also, Chuck Peters which we learned on his last visit whereas the “typical” person his age is taking it easy, playing golf, and sitting in the rocking chair, Chuck is taking his “retirement” to the mission field.  And find out what he’s been up to lately on the broadcast.

And moving into our next hour we ask the question, “How Can We Pray In These Times?”

With all the turmoil going on in this world how can we pray?  How can we have that connection with God?

Stu sat down recently with author and speaker Sarah Bush to look at the different aspects of prayer by scripture and look to how you can improve your every day prayer life.

How Well Do You Know The Bible?

Is your Bible covered in dust? I know, I know, you pick your Bible up often, but is it often enough?

Also, if you were to have your Bible taken away from you…..How much scripture would you be able to remember?

John 3:16, Romans 8:28, and what’s that verse about judging?

Today on Truth Talk Live, Stu Epperson, Jr. challenges you to hide God’s word in your heart.

And in our second hour…

What’s Your Favorite Verse That’s NOT In The Bible?

You know…those verses like:  “Cleanliness is next to godliness”, and perhaps the most famous verse that isn’t in God’s word at all…..”God helps those who help themselves”.

We want to hear some of your favorites and we’ll talk about the dangers of misquoting scripture.

How do your children look at the world?  The best research indicates that even if they’re Christians, they may not have a biblical worldview.

What exactly is a biblical worldview and can it be taught to students who have been so influenced by the media and values of the world.

Today on Truth Talk Live, meet some Bryan College students who are passionate about presenting and defending a biblical way of looking at the world. They have spent their day with students at Calvary Baptist Day School in Winston-Salem, NC.

And in our second hour…

“What’s the Age of Accountability?”

At what age can children understand the gospel enough to be saved?  Stu welcomes Jason Beverly of Child Evangelism Fellowshipand Jason’s five year old son.

This program may change the way you look at evangelism.

cusickToday on Truth Talk Live join Stu for three exciting interviews!  First up is Rick Scarborough, Founder and President of Vision America.  He speaks briefly about his book Enough is Enough (which you can find on the website), then he and Stu have a serious discussion about the role the Church and the believer should play in our Government.  In the next segment Michael John Cusic talks about Restoring the Soul, a ministry to help people with sexual sin.  His Book is called Surfing For God and in it he talks about becoming free from internet pornography.  Finally, Stu gets a visit from two friends from Sudan, Anthony and Marioc, who came from a war-torn nation to build a life for themselves here.  They are now giving back by starting a charity, Southern Sudan Voice of Hope.

And in our second hour…

Is It Ever Okay For Christians To Idolize Celebrities?

Do a Google search for King James and you’ll find more links to Lebron James than the King James Bible.  Does that say anything about how we idolize celebrities in our culture?  And are Christians equally guilty? From Christian musicians to superstar pastors, we seem to have a penchant for putting people on pedestals.  Is that okay?  Stu wants to talk today about vicarious attraction vs. vicarious atonement.

How Has God Rescued You?

Has God rescued you so that you can rescue others? That’s the theme of our first hour this week on Truthtalklive.com.

Stu Epperson, Jr. welcomes Ron Hutchcraft, founder and president of Ron Hutchcraft Ministries.

Ron is a veteran of over 43 years of youth and family work and has presented the gospel around the world. He’s also the host of two radio programs -”A word with you” and “A Life That Matters”, heard in more than 50 countries around the world and on the Armed Forces radio network. He’s also author of many books, including his latest “A Life That Matters : Making the Greatest possible Difference with the Rest of Your Life” (Moody Publishers).

And speaking of making a difference, here’s what awaits in our second hour.

More than two million children are exploited in the global commercial sex trade each year.

Most of the girls are 8 to 12 years old.

The average victim is forced to have sex up to 40 times a day.

The problem almost seems to be big to overcome. there are congressional hearings on the topic, international study commissions, but the problem only seems to escalate.

What can be done?  And who should be doing it?

Enter Save our Sisters.

“We are four high school freshman that the Lord has given a passion and burden for girls entangled in the horrific web of human trafficking. Girls our age and younger are sexually enslaved and exploited everyday. Rather than merely talking about the nightmare of the sex slave trade and how we feel so bad for them we decided to do something about it”

Today on Truthtalklive.com, Stu Epperson introduces you to the four teenage girls who began “Save Our Sisters”.

Should we ban guns in church?  Should we protect ourselves? Isn’t it amazing we’re even having this discussion? What do you think?

My Pastor Did What?!

As showed in the picture on the left, there are differing views on what your pastor does.  Today on Truth Talk Live we’ll take a look at some of the “crazy” things some pastors do.

In the first hour, your host, Stu Epperson Jr, will engage you on why should, or shouldn’t a pastor endorse a political candidate.  Does this have a place in the church? What are the retributions of it? And why would a pastor even think of doing this?

Moving on to the second hour, Stu sits down with Pastor Neon of Trinity Riders, a Christian motorcycle club.  No, that’s not a typo, it’s a motorcycle club that the first and foremost requirement is being a born again believer and you must be committed to a local church, a follower of Christ, and oh yeah, you need to ride a motorcycle.

So through today’s broadcast we hope you’ll see that being a pastor, one needs to be led of God and committed to faithfully teach and preach His Word and not be given to the opinion of others.

If you believe Carlton Pearson the answer to that question is an emphatic yes….Oh, and that potentially includes Satan as well.

No stranger to controversy, Bishop Pearson was once a rising star in evangelical circles until he embraced his doctrine of inclusion, similar to Universalism. He was denounced as a heretic by African-American Pentecostals and he eventually lost his once thriving church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

But Bishop Pearson is back. A couple of years ago he was accepted  as a minister by the United Church of Christ and now is an interim minister at a Chicago-based temple affiliated with the “New Thought” movement.

Today on Truth Talk Live, our “Truth 4 Youth” hosts Hope and Rebecca speak with Dottie Powers which is with Salem Pregnancy and “Worth the Wait” which is a program that urges the youth to remain pure until marriage.

Next up, we have Usama Dakdok, who is reaching Muslims for Christ by telling the truth about the Koran.

And in our Second Hour…

When The 10/40 Window Looks Out On Your Own Backyard

It began when Tim & Jody Cross went on a short term missions trip with their church in the spring of 2000.  Within one year, they had sold their house, two cars and much of their furniture and moved overseas.  After serving as missionaries in Belgium and London , they returned to the United States and began praying about what God would have them do next.

Instead of returning to the mission field overseas, God brought the mission field to them. Tim & Jody have started a new ministry to newly arriving refugees to this country.

Several months ago Open Arms Refugee Ministries welcomed its first refugee family to the United States. today more than 100 Iraqi’s meet together weekly for worship in their own language.  Dozens of refugee children are seeing bible stories unfold before their eyes for the first time.

Tim & Jody are affiliated with the North American Mission Board.  Watch a short video interview with Tim & Jody HERE. And a video produced by “World Relief” features many of the refugees in Winston-Salem, NC is located HERE.

ttl alexJoin our “Truth for Youth” hosts, Hope and Rebecca, as they seek the truth that is for all generations.

Next we visit with our good friend Alex McFarland who is here to tell us about his book, “10 Answers for Atheists” and he also speaks with Stu about his upcoming apologetics conference called “Truth For A New Generation”.

Stu rounds out this hour with Don Parmer who is reaching the country of Belize with Chistian radio and is also helping plant churches there.  Lastly, Stu visits with Gary Chapman who is the author of the “Five Love Languages” and host of the radio show “Building Relationships”.

And in our Second Hour….

Today on Truth Talk Live dot com we go from college all the way to retirement.  Don’t worry Stu is not retiring nor is he going back to college.  But we have a visit from a couple of radical men who have some radical ideas about God’s leading in their lives.

You may recognize Chuck Peters from a show we did previously on “Retirement or Full-Time Ministry”, but our newest friend and guest on Truth Talk Live dot com is Joshua Ladd.

And find out what he’s been up to lately on the broadcast.

cityview Are Christians doing enough to reach out to the Muslim world?  Today on Truth Talk Live, Stu interviews a guest who does just that.  Jerry Trousdale, Director of International Ministry for CityTeam, and author of Miraculous Movements, a book full of the stories of people converted from Islam to Christianity.

Later in the hour, Stu speaks with Jonathan Falwell about the health of the church.  Is it growing?  Or is it dying? Rev. Jonathan Falwell is the Senior Pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia.

And in our Second Hour….

Why is Religion A Bad Word?

Why does the word “religion” get a bad rap…for example….”Most of wars in world are fought over religion.”

According to Webster,  religion is a personal or institutional system of attitudes, beliefs and practices.

Should we be so negative about religion and so positive about a relationship with Jesus Christ?

Later in the hour, join Stu as he discusses the topic: should teens ever date…period?  The thoughts of our  guest today may surprise you.  Rob Smith, Founder of the Agathos Foundation, says absolutely not and he’s not alone.  So what is this… a new movement? What do you think? Is dating ever a good idea?  What did you learn from your dating experiences? Does our modern American culture have it all wrong?

And in our Second Hour…

What are your Kids Up To?

Our whirlwind trip starts on Truth4Youth, where Hope and Rebecca chat with Dental Hygienist and High School Mentor Michelle Bascom.   They reminisce about past years in school here in Winston-Salem and hear some wonderful testimony about growing up in New York state.

Then they speak to Morgan Barney about her mission trip to summer camps in Moldova.  This is Morgan’s third trip to the camps and she recounts many of the experiences she has had there over the years.  To keep up to date with the with the team in Moldova, visit saveoursisterstoday.com.

Our missions emphasis continues as Stu talks to Amy, as missionary serving in an undisclosed location in Asia, and in our last segment with George who is about to leave for Malawi.  To find out a little more about what Amy is doing, visit joshuaproject.net.  What a journey!

And in our second hour….

Are you a Fashion Driven Christian?

Tullian Tchividjian says you shouldn’t be. Tchividjian is Senior Pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church www.crpc.org in Florida, founded by D. James Kennedy. He’s the author of “Unfashionable – Making a Difference in the World by Being Different” (Multnomah Books) .

Tchividjian is the grandson of Billy and Ruth Graham. He spent a good portion of his youth attempting to be “fashionable” . Tullian experienced much of what the world had to offer before finding it empty and meaningless.

His new book serves as a call to action for the Christians to live a life “set apart” and for the church to offer a meaningful alternative to the world instead of trying to shape itself to the culture.

photo 2Today on Truth for Youth, Hope Epperson talks to Sarah Beth Abbey, one of the leaders of The Lift, a gathering of Christian youth from all over Winston-Salem, NC.

Later in the hour, Stu takes the mic and discusses your favorite verse that’s not in the Bible! You know…those verses like, “Cleanliness is next to godliness,” and perhaps the most famous verse that isn’t in God’s word at all…..”God helps those who help themselves”.  On today’s broadcast Stu Epperson, Jr. wants to hear some of your favorites and talk about the dangers of misquoting scripture.

And in the Second Hour…

Doesn’t all truth ultimately find it’s origins in the divine? Isn’t it interesting how His fingerprints keep showing up in almost everything in the secular media.

Today, Stu looks for God in all things secular.

In 1991 he wrote “The Man in the Mirror”, a landmark book born of his own search for meaning, purpose, and a deeper relationship with God. “The Man in the Mirror” sold more than 3,000,000 copies and was selected as one of the 100 most influential Christian books of the 20th century.

And in the Second Hour…..

Are Christian Men Serving Money More Than God?

“My name is Warren and I’m a recovering evangelical.”warren-cover-barnes-and-noble

That’s how Warren Cole Smith opens his book “A Lover’s Quarrel with the Evangelical Church” .  From body count evangelism to the Christian industrial complex, Warren has some issues with the American church today and he is calling “her” to repentance. And in the second hour…

And in our second hour …

Can Morality Exist Without God?

If God does not exist then morality is merely a fairy tale on the level of Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. If God does not exist then there is nothing inherently wrong with abortion, homosexuality, racism, greed, theft, slavery, pedophilia, rape, murder or even genocide. For too long we have been trying to suppress cultural symptoms without addressing the real cause–our culture’s view of God. Today Stu welcomes Brad Bright, President and CEO of Bright Media , Director of Discover God Institute www.discovergod.com . Bright is also the son of Bill Bright, Founder of Campus Crusade for Christ and author of the book ”God is the Issue”.

What (Or Who) Is The Gospel?

Do we really understand the Gospel? What is the good news and why do so many evangelical Christians not get it?

John Piper is the Pastor for Preaching at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, and studied at Wheaton College, where he first sensed God’s call to enter the ministry.

He went on to earn degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary (B.D.) and the University of Munich (D.theol.). For six years he taught Biblical Studies at Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and in 1980 accepted the call to serve as pastor at Bethlehem.

Moving to our second hour we’ll talk about “Should A Christian Celebrate Passover?”

It would probably be safe to say that most Christians don’t know what a Seder feast is.

On today’s broadcast, Stu welcomes Pastor David McGee of Calvary Chapel of the Triad to talk about the relevance and significance of the Passover celebration to the believer in Jesus Christ.

Pastor David walks you through an incredible, edible Bible study.

What Lessons Does The Bible Provide About Leadership?

Posted by on 8 March, 2013
This post was filed in Christian Living and has Comments Off

We are in a time where the Christian leader is more out of touch with Scripture than at perhaps any other time in history. Leaders are being bombarded with messages that attempt to take them away from living an integrated life as a Christian.

On today’s broadcast, Stu welcomes author Bill Bliss who has written a book focused on key leadership lessons found in God’s Word including practical ways for today’s leader to apply these lessons to their lives and organizations.

And in our second hour…”Does God Still Heal?”

Does God still heal?  There are those who are skeptical and maybe you’re among them. Perhaps you’ve prayed fervently for the healing of a loved one and they died. Maybe you’ve concluded that God is either unwilling or unable to heal those who call on Him.

On today’s broadcast Stu welcomes Dr. James Garlow, author of the book “God Still Heals”. Dr Garlow has been pastor of Skyline Wesleyan Church in southern California since 1995.

In addition, Jim is a communicator and historian. He is heard daily on over 650 radio outlets nationwide in his one minute historical commentary called The Garlow Perspective.

Is There A Difference Between Justification & Sanctification?

Posted by on 27 July, 2012
This post was filed in Uncategorized and has Comments Off

True or false..We are justified by faith and we are sanctified by works.

Does the gospel really save us positionally and practically?  And why does it matter?

A great open- line topic today. Weigh in with your comments here.

Moving into our second hour we’ll stick with some more biblical teachings.

In this hour, Stu sits down with John Piper and discuss “What (Or Who) Is The Gospel?”

Do we really understand the Gospel? What is the good news and why do so many evangelical Christians not get it?

Do Your Children Have a Christian Worldview?

Posted by on 13 July, 2012
This post was filed in Uncategorized and has Comments Off

How do your children look at the world?  The best research indicates that even if they’re Christians, they may not have a biblical worldview.

What exactly is a biblical worldview and can it be taught to students who have been so influenced by the media and values of the world.

Today on Truthtalk Live, meet some Bryan College students who are passionate about presenting and defending a biblical way of looking at the world. They have spent this day with students at Calvary Baptist Day School in Winston-Salem, NC.

Moving into our second hour we’ll talk about “What’s the Age of Accountability?”

At what age can children understand the gospel enough to be saved?  Stu welcomes Jason Beverly of Child Evangelism Fellowship www.cefonline.comand Jason’s five year old son.

This program may change the way you look at evangelism.

On The Road With Stu

Posted by on 29 June, 2012
This post was filed in Uncategorized and has Comments Off

Did you get some personal face time with Stu this week? A LOT of people did and you’ll get a chance to listen in on some of those conversations. Stu is back from a trip to the west coast and while he was there he visited with Jay Flowers, Director of Communication with Grace to You, John Macarthur’s radio ministry.

He also caught up with his mentor,  Scott Ardavanis, pastor of  Placerita Baptist Church in Newhall, California.

And what would a trip to California be without a nostalgic visit to Stu’s alma mater, The Master’s College.  There, he caught up with businessman Norb Brown of Servicemaster Clean, a man who’s business and ministry are inextricably linked together.

Stu also spent some time with pastor and author Alexander Strauch.  For over forty years he has served as an elder at Littleton Bible Chapel near Denver, Colorado. Additionally, he has taught philosophy and New Testament literature at Colorado Christian University. A gifted Bible teacher and popular speaker, Mr. Strauch has helped thousands of churches worldwide through his expository writing ministry.

He is the author of Biblical Eldership, The New Testament Deacon, Men and Women: Equal Yet Different, The Hospitality Commands, Agape Leadership (with Robert L. Peterson), Meetings That Work, Leading with Love, and Love or Die: Christ’s Wake-up Call to the Church.

Closer to home Stu visits with North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby (picture right).

And Stu also spent some time with Jimmy Renslow, a dynamic young pastor in Greensboro, NC to talk about a different way to “do church”. Renslow is pastor of the church at 5:14. And don’t worry, he’ll explain what that means.

Moving into our second hour we’ll have a “Truth Talk Live Power Lunch”.

his week on Truthtalklive.com you’re invited to lunch…and not just any lunch, but a power lunch with ministry leaders from around the world.

Stu Epperson, Jr. also caught up with Jimmy DeYoung of Prophecy Today to find out what’s going on the world and how it relates to bible prophecy.

And sit in on a lunchtime conversation with church planter  Manny Fernandez, Pastor Alan wright, host of the radio program Sharing the Light with Alan Wright. Chris Perry is also there talking about a ferry project in Uganda.

Stu also visits with  Big Stu and Kalim at a recent Arabic festival at a church in Kernersville, NC.

Is It Ever Okay For Christians To Idolize Celebrities?

Posted by on 22 June, 2012
This post was filed in Christian Living and has Comments Off

Do a Google search for King James and you’ll find more links to Lebron James than the King James Bible.

Does that say anything about how we idolize celebrities in our culture?

And are Christians equally guilty? From Christian musicians to superstar pastors, we seem to have a penchant for putting people on pedestals. Is that okay?  Stu wants to talk today about vicarious attraction vs. vicarious atonement.  He’ll take your comments here.

Moving into our second hour we’ll talk about “What Would You Do If Someone Sent You Daughter Pornography In The Mail?”

Stu was shocked when a flier from a mainstream American retailer showed up in his mailbox.

And he was even more upset to find it was addressed to his young daughter?

What do you think he should do about it?

A Special “Father’s Day” Tribute!

Posted by on 15 June, 2012
This post was filed in Christian Living and has Comments Off

We want to wish all the father’s out there a very Happy Father’s Day from all of us here at Truth Talk Live.  We have a special show that was hosted by Stu’s father, Stuart Epperson Sr. He will talk about the importance of fathers and ask some important questions to get your “thinking cap” on.

Also be sure to leave a tribute to your father.  Include his name (first name only please) and why he is so special  to you.

Moving into the second hour, we’ll talk about “The Many Faces Of Fathering”.

Today we’ll hear the story of three fathers… a father to a special needs child…a man who had a death row, dead-beat dad and the “father” of AIDS orphans in Africa.

Former NFL player Paul Frase is father to Joshua.  Joshua was born with a  muscle disorder.  Fewer than half of the children born with myotubular myopathy live to the age of two.   Most of Paul’s time these days is spent searching for a cure through the Joshua Frase Foundation.

Also on todays program, Lief Moi, one of the founding pastors of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, Washington, and church planter, has a different “father & son” experience. His father was a dead-beat, death row dad.

Also, we’ll talk with Rob Smith, who is the founder and chairman of the Agathos Foundation.  Agathos is a ministry reaching out to the more than 14 million AIDS orphans in Africa.

All three will share their stories in this program. We invite you to share yours with us here.

Would You Be A Missionary To The Most Dangerous City In The World?

Today Stu welcomes old friend and missionary partner Brad Phillips of the Persecution Project Foundation.

And he’ll talk with a missionary to the most most dangerous city in the world.

Moving into our second hour we’ll head in a different direction, “Are We Merchandising The Church?”

Our guest this hour is Warren Cole, author of the book “A Lover’s Quarrel with the Evangelical Church” .

From body count evangelism to the Christian industrial complex, Warren has some issues with the American church today and he is calling “her” to repentance. A voice in the wilderness or the voice of reason?

Has Christianity become big business and is that necessarily a bad thing?  Stu Epperson takes on Warren and we want to hear from you!  Feel free to leave your comments here.

Will Christians Be Judged?

Posted by on 1 June, 2012
This post was filed in Christian Living and has Comments Off

Do believers need to live in fear of the judgement of God?

How many Christians do you know that are afraid of the day they will stand before a holy God ?

Do you live that way?  Why or why not?

Join in on the conversation here.

In our second hour we’ll talk about “Can A Child Save A Child?”

Enter Save our Sisters – Morgan Barney, Claire Herndon, Kristie Watkins, Brianna Weir.

Today on Truthtalk Live, Stu Epperson introduces you to the four teenage girls who began “Save Our Sisters”.

Stand Strong And Reach Out!

This post was filed in Apologetics, Christian Living and has Comments Off

On this edition of Truth Talk Live dot com we want to encourage you to stand strong for what you believe in, and reach out to the lost and hurting however possible.

We start our journey today with Alex McFarland, christian apologist, speaker, and once guest host here on the program.  He and your host, Stu, will sit down and discuss about the recent vote here in North Carolina about marriage between a man and a woman and encourage you to stand for the core biblical truths here in these uncertain days.

Next, we visit with Chris Camden, associated with Havest Ministries and well known program “A New Beginning with Greg Laurie”.  They discuss about the exciting venture that Harvest Ministries is doing in August to reach out to hundreds of churches called Havest America.  To find out more, click on the previous link.

Next, Stu passes the mic to our resident “Christian Car Guy”, Robby Dilmore, and he had the opportunity to speak with Randy Wayne, star of the soon to be released movie “Hardflip”.

We finish the first hour in a interview Stu did with the Bible Answer Man.

Moving into our second hour we’ll talk about “What To Do When The “Unwanted & Uninvited” Show Up?”

Stu has a friend who owns a high end restaurant in a major city.  This Christian businessman hosts a weekly morning bible study at his restaurant that includes a complimentary breakfast.

Recently someone invited a homeless person to the breakfast study. This “hand of kindness” has resulted in a major disruption as restaurant employees are being harassed by others who are looking for a free meal and a handout. So what should Stu’s friend do?  We’d like to hear from you.

So do you welcome the son home or do act like the brother and resent him for coming back?

On this edition of Truthtalklive.com we do some introspection of how to handle the prodigal when he comes home.

We start our visit with Walker Armstrong long time Sunday School teacher and author of the book Missing Treasures.

Our next visit is with Converting Hearts Ministry.

We also visit with George Crispi and then round out the show with Jonathon Murfee or “Murf” of Younglife that works with public school kids for the cause of Christ.

Are You Ready For The Coming Evangelical Collapse?

Posted by on 11 May, 2012
This post was filed in Uncategorized and has Comments Off

We are on the verge of a major collapse of evangelical Christianity.  So says our guest today, Michael Spencer, whose blog has attracted quite a bit of attention in Christian and non-Christian circles.  He says millions of evangelicals will quit.  Thousands of ministries will end.  Christian media will be reduced, if not eliminated and many Christian schools will go into rapid decline.

Michael Spencer is a writer and communicator living and working in a Christian community in Kentucky.  He describes himself as a “post-evangelical reformation Christian in search of a Jesus-shaped spirituality.”

Moving into our second hour we’ll go into a fun topic, “What’s Your Favorite Or Least Favorite Church Marquee?”

They are designed to get your attention, but our guest today on Truthtalk Live has a problem with the false messages, half-truths and poor theology of church marquees.

Bryan H. Rhoden became a Christian at age fourteen and began preaching at the age of seventeen.

He is a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute and Southeastern Baptist Theological College.

He has served as associate pastor at The Master’s Church in Burlington, NC since 2002.  He is a full time teacher at Covenant Christian Day School in Greensboro, NC as well as a professor at Carolina Christian College in Winston-Salem, NC.

Who Will Stand Up For The Truth?

*** We here at TruthTalkLive.com strongly support marriage between a man and woman.  We are unapologetic about this, and we urge you on this Tuesday, May the 8th, to vote for the marriage amendment in North Carolina to keep marriage between a man and a woman. For more information and resources click HERE. ***

On this special edition of Truth Talk Live, we address the upcoming vote on traditional marriage in North Carolina.  Your host, Stu Epperson Jr, sits down with Pastor Patrick Wooden and Pastor John McClurkin to discuss why you should vote for the marriage amendment and what you can do to help.

Also, we reach back and look a few months into some bonus coverage pick up the conversation that asked, “Should the YMCA offer homosexual couples the same benefits as heterosexual families?”

Moving into another divisive topic, we’ll talk with Cory Paul and talk about the importance of standing against abortion and you can check on what he’s up to HERE.

We wrap up the show with Steve Brown, a missionary to the Czech Republic.  Who is sacrificing his life for the Gospel.

In our second hour we’ll talk about “Why Does The ACLU Want To Censor Free Speech?”  From sectarian prayer to wearing a Christian t-shirt, the ACLU is on the prowl and clamping down on  forms of religious expression.

On today’s program Stu Epperson, Jr. welcomes Mike Johnson of the Alliance Defense Fund.

Read Stu’s Article:

Prayer…or Porn?  I’m Offended!

By Stuart Epperson, Jr.

If you’re offended by prayer at a county commissioners’ meeting, you’re in luck!  A multi-million dollar, pro-bono, tax-exempt, legal powerhouse known as the ACLU will fight for you!
If you’re offended by porn in a text book or at a public art gallery, tough luck!  The ACLU will defend the porn. Why do they want to censor prayer but not porn?

Why would the ACLU, which, by the way, stands for the American Civil Liberties Union, be advocating censorship and intolerance at all?

And now they have sued you and me, the citizens of Forsyth County. The ACLU wants to censor the speech of a Muslim cleric, a Hindu priest, a Jewish rabbi, or a Methodist minister.

Some of these prayers may even offend me! But does the constitution give me a right ‘not’ to be offended? Of course not!   Is not this pluralism of expression and tolerance what makes America great?
Even the United States Congress has opened with these offensive ‘sectarian’ prayers for over 140 years.  And how many converts or government sponsored churches have resulted? The answer: zero.

Unless our elected officials stand up to this bully, the ACLU will have its way. Yes to porn and NO to prayer!

Beaufort Bailey, Walter Marshall and Ted Kaplan — three of your elected officials — have been against appealing the case on “political” grounds.

Friends, this is not about politics. It’s not about Republican or Democrat, right or left.  It’s about “right or wrong”! It’s about free speech versus censorship.

Commissioners, please stand with us.  The voters and the taxpayers of Forsyth County in protecting the right to freedom of expression. Freedom is always worth the price it takes to defend it!

It cost our founders a lot more than a few taxpayer dollars; many lost their very lives. Let’s send the ACLU bullies home so they can go back to defending porn and stop destroying prayer!

ow about larger than life graphic photos on college campuses.

The Pro Life On Campus traveling exhibit uses graphic images of aborted babies to show the truth of abortion – the fact that abortion is a violent act that destroys a child’s life.

The organization believes that until this is seen by the public, it is all too easy to ignore.

Today Stu welcomes Fletcher Armstrong, Southeastern Director of the Center for Bio-ethical Reform.

Take a look at a video from a event HERE.

Moving into our second hour we’ll talk about “Are You Glad Your Mother Was Pro-Life?”

Today we want to hear your miracle story.

On today’s program you’ll hear the voice of Corey Paul.  Fast forward 20 some years and it could be the voice of your unborn child.

Does your Bible look like the one in the picture?  I know, I know, you pick your Bible up often, but is it often enough?

Also, if you were to have your Bible taken away from you…..How much scripture would you be able to remember?

John 3:16, Romans 8:28, and what’s that verse about judging?

Today on Truthtalk Live, Stu Epperson, Jr. challenges you to hide God’s word in your heart.

Moving into our second hour we’ll talk about What’s Your Favorite Verse That’s NOT In The Bible?

You know…those verses like:  “Cleanliness is next to godliness”, and perhaps the most famous verse that isn’t in God’s word at all…..”God helps those who help themselves”.

We want to hear some of your favorites and we’ll talk about the dangers of misquoting scripture.

Is There A Higher Calling For A Christian?

Today on Truth Talk Live dot com we go from college all the way to retirement.  Don’t worry Stu is not retiring nor is he going back to college.  But we have a visit from a couple of radical men who have some radical ideas about God’s leading in their lives.

You may recognize Chuck Peters from a show we did previously on “Retirement or Full-Time Ministry”, but our newest friend and guest on Truth Talk Live dot com is Joshua Ladd.

Today Stu welcomes Pastor Stuart Stogner to talk about the question.

Moving into our next hour we’ll talk about “Why Should Christians Care About an Old Testament Feast?”

Passover is one of the seven feasts instituted by God as recorded in scripture.  Moses, David and Jesus himself kept this feast.

Today we’ll look at the passover seder feast and why it has deep significance to every believer in Jesus Christ. Our guest for the hour is Pastor David McGee of Calvary Chapel of the Triad.

My Pastor Did What?!

This post was filed in Uncategorized and has Comments Off

As showed in the picture on the left, there are differing views on what your pastor does.  Today on Truth Talk Live we’ll take a look at some of the “crazy” things some pastors do.

In the first hour, your host, Stu Epperson Jr, will engage you on why should, or shouldn’t a pastor endorse a political candidate.  Does this have a place in the church? What are the retributions of it? And why would a pastor even think of doing this?  Also, share your thoughts on our blog.

Finances: A Look At America’s And Yours

Is America approaching the point of no return financially?  According to Ethan Pope, the mismanagement of our nation’s abundance of  wealth is incomprehensible, intolerable, imprudent, reckless, corrupt, foolish, destructive, destabilizing, and unacceptable.

And, he says, unless our Congressional leaders make radical changes to bring federal spending under control, it will soon become mathematically impossible for our nation to avoid bankruptcy.

Pope is a nationally known financial author, speaker, radio commentator, and founder of the Financial Patriots movement and Stu’s guest today on Truthtalk Live.

Also, we’ll visit with financial experts Jeff and Carrie Mendenhall and they’ll tell you how to become your own banker and show you how you really can become financially free.

Merry Christmas from all of us at Truth Talk Live!

On this Christmas Eve edition of Truth Talk Live dot com we visit with Manny Mill of Koinonia House National Ministries.

Today, through Manny, we will share another redemptive story of how God will search us out. Regardless of what kind of life we live, if we trust Christ he can truly take us above and beyond any expectations that we could possibly dream.  No, it’s not what the world claims that will give us satisfaction that will do this, and it may not even be what’s popular, but as Manny shares with Stu, of you can find the will of God for your life; you can truly be happy.

Should You Stay In Your Denomination And Fight For Reform Or Leave?

A recent survey by the Pew Foundation  shows 44 percent of Americans abandon their childhood faith. William Murchison says the problem begins with religious leaders who don’t teach truth.  He argues that many priests and pastors have watered down the gospel so much that it’s no longer the gospel.

In Mortal Follies: Episcopalians and the Crisis of Mainline Christianity www.encounterbooks.com Murchison tells how his own church cheerfully gave up truth to placate a relativistic culture and he warns that most mainline churches are on the same path. Is yours? If so, what can you do about it?  Stay and fight for reform… or leave?

William Murchison is a nationally syndicated columnist and longtime commentator on the Episcopal Church, of which he is an active communicant.

Can Morality Exist Without God?

Posted by on 11 November, 2011
This post was filed in Apologetics and has Comments Off

And in our second hour …

When The 10/40 Window Looks Out On Your Own Backyard

Posted by on 4 November, 2011
This post was filed in Missions and has Comments Off

And in our second hour…

What say you?  Hear what some listeners had to say to Stu Epperson, Jr. during this pre-recorded program. And don’t worry, you can leave your comments right here.
